Sandra Swartz

  Sandra Swartz, age 67, of Searcy, passed away on Thursday, February 23, 2012.  She was born on March 6, 1944 inEdgar,IL, a daughter of Francis Marion Malone and Hazel May (Cooly) Malone. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband: Earl Swartz Sr., and one son: Steve S. Swartz.     

 Sandra was a Homemaker, a Beloved wife to Papa for 51 years and a Loving Mom & a wonderful Nanny to all her Grandchildren & Great Grandchildren.  She was a great friend to all she knew and knew her.  Sandra loved her Flower Garden and she looked forward to Spring & Summer so she could get started planting and making her yard beautiful.  She enjoyed watching her many beautiful flowers, flowering shrubs & trees grow.  She was a wonderful caretaker of all her animals. Everyone who knew her loved her. Sandra loved every color under the Rainbow. Sandra-Nanny you are loved and will always be missed. Every beautiful flower we see we will think of you. We Love you.

Angel Michelle Webb

Angel Michelle Webb, 22, of North Little Rockpassed through the Gates of Heaven on February 8, 2012 from injuries sustained in her car wreck. She was born on May 30, 1989 to James and Tammy Webb. She was preceded in death by her beloved son, Gabriel Cade and her grandfather, Robert Gaines. She leaves to cherish her memory: her parents; three brothers: Brian Gaines (Catalina), James Webb III, Todd Webb, a sister: Brittney Webb; grandmothers: Helen Gaines and Lela Johnson; her niece Brianna and nephew Paden and a host of uncles, aunts, cousins, friends and her life long best friend Dana Grace.

Angel was loved by many and will always be remembered for her infectious laugh and beautiful smile. She will be greatly missed by all that knew and loved her. We would like to thank the ICU staff at Springhill Baptist in N.L.R. With special thanks to her nurses Katie, Kerri, and Jules.

A memorial service will be held at a later date.

Sue Ann (Schwender) Ettman

Sue Ann (Schwender) Ettman of Petit Jean Mountain passed away Tuesday, February 14, 2012, with her husband and daughters at her side. Sue was born March 17, 1943, in White Plains, New York, to the late Paul and Winona Schwender. She leaves her husband of 47 years, Jim Ettman, and daughters Elizabeth Giovannini (Pete), Aimee Mimms (John), and grandchildren Ashleigh and Anna Giovannini and Tyler and Luke Mimms all of Petit Jean Mountain.

Sue graduated from White Plains High School and was an honor graduate at the University of North Carolina. Professionally, she was an archaeologist, a teacher, a librarian, and the Professional Registrar at Winrock International. She enjoyed traveling, cooking for friends and family, growing African violets, quilting, and anything chocolate.

A celebration of her life will be held at 3:00 pm, Sunday, February 19, 2012, at the fellowship hall at Camp Mitchell atop Petit Jean Mountain.

Roger H. Menefee passed away on Tuesday Feb. 7th at his home inHot Springs,AR.He was predeceased by his Mother, Dana Gunn Menefee Bush Camferdam, his sister Victoria Menefee Wislon, his Aunt and Uncle Jackie and Vernon Bue.  Surviving family members include his Father Victor E Menefee and Jo Light Menefee, his Niece Sherwood Turnbull, her husband Andrew Turnbull, great nephew Dane Turnbull and his wife Tina Menefee.

Other surviving family members include

Genevieve Griswold

Genevieve, age 101 of Conway, AR., formally of Penn Yan, New York died on January 25, 2012.  She was predeceased by her husband Theodore Sr. in 1984.  Survived by her Children, William of Watkins Glen, NY, Alice Terenzi of Clearwater, FL., Theodore of Conway, AR, Franz of Dansville, eight grandchildren, seventeen great-grandchildren, one great-great-grand daughter.  Several nieces and nephews and a host of friends.  She lived most of her life in the Finger Lakes region and was the proprietor of nursing homes in Interlaken and Watkins Glen and veterans homes in Dundee, New York.  As an animal lover she contributed to many animal charity’s and was helpful in the establishment of the animal Shelter of Hope in Penn Yan, New York.  Genevieve joined several organizations including the Moose Lodge, American Legion, TOPS, and was an ARC volunteer.  At Gen’s request there will be no calling hours. Jerry M. Erickson

Jerry M. Erickson, age 62, ofConway, passed away on Sunday, January 15, 2012.  He was born inWausau,Wisconsinon June 16, 1949 a son of Martin Erickson and Genevieve Meverden-Erickson.  Jerry was owner operator of Erickson Frame and Body Shop inConway.  He graduated fromCusterHigh School, inMilwaukee,WIin 1967, he went on to serve on the U.S.S. Enterprise during the Vietnam War from 1967-1970.  Jerry was a member ofGraceDoctrineBibleChurchinConway.

Melissa Kim Ellington Dilday

Melissa Kim Ellington Dilday departed her earthly existence on Friday, January 13, 2012 inConway.  Born in Reno, Nevada on June 25, 1956 and raised in Little Rock, she leaves behind her husband of 32 years, Laurence [Larry], her two brothers, Kenneth Ellington of Sugarland, Texas and Morris Nard of Penrose, Colorado, and her sister, Nina [Susie] Schlereth of Little Rock.

Melissa was a gifted artist and teacher.  A 1979 graduate of theUniversityofArkansasatLittle Rock, she received her Master of Arts degree in Dramatic Art from theUniversityofCaliforniaatDavis.  Prior to becoming disabled in 2004, Melissa taught theatre and speech at Arkansas State University-Mountain Home.

April Mae Ortega Williams, age 31 of Blackwell passed away on Saturday, January 7, 2012.  She was born on March 12, 1980 inWaco,Texasa daughter of Bob Ortega and Mary Jane Burt.  April was a member ofKenwoodFreewillBaptistChurchand loved writing poetry.  She enjoyed painting, doing puzzles and all arts and crafts.
