Goria Helen Strayhorn Obituary (1941 - 2022)

Gloria Helen Strayhorn 81, of Conway, Arkansas, passed away Thursday, October 6, 2022 in her home, surrounded by her family. She was born on June 10,1941 in Memphis, Tennessee to Al and Helen Bonner. She grew up in Little Rock and graduated from Mt. St. Mary's High School. Gloria was a licensed insurance agent and was retired from State Farm Insurance in Memphis. She is preceded in death by her parents. Survived by her loving husband Jerry of 60 years, she had two sons, Mark Anthony (Christi) from North Little Rock, Arkansas and Chris (Lisa) from Mobile, Alabama. She also had two granddaughters, Sarah and Anna Strayhorn, from Mobile, Alabama. Other survivors include her brother Al Bonner (Dottie) of Charlotte, North Carolina and sister Sandra Pless (Leon) of Pittsburg, Texas. In addition, she also had several nieces and nephews. Her memory will always be treasured by her family and friends. Gloria was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Conway. She enjoyed fishing, boating, traveling, and spending time with her husband and family. Graveside service will be Tuesday, October 11, 2022 at 11:00AM at the Antioch Cemetery near Beebe.
