Anita Karen Walker Moore of Hillcreek, AR went to be with her Lord and Savior on Wednesday, June 29, 2022 at the age of 67. Karen was born January 29, 1955 in Morrilton, AR to Asbury O. Walker and Mary Frances Koonce Walker. \r\n\r\nShe was a faithful member of Portland Missionary Baptist Church. She was a 1973 graduate of Plumerville High School and previously attended school in Pine Bluff and North Little Rock. She worked at S. Vincent Hospital in Morrilton until she married and moved in 1975. She was a homemaker in Whitehouse, TX where she attended First Baptist church. Later, she travelled with her husband while he worked on the railroad. They lived in Hutchinson, KS; Valliant, OK; and Ashdown, AR before moving to her family's farm at Hillcreek in 1989. She then worked at Kimberly Clark in Conway where she was known as "Nerak" (Karen backwards) to her closest friends because she did everything backwards. She took early retirement to go to UACCM in Morrilton, AR graduating with honors with an Associates degree in business technology. She then worked at Community Services in Morrilton and later accepted a job at Arch Ford Education Cooperative which is located in the old Plumerville High School building, when she and her parents had graduated. She retired in 2016 due to health issues. Her desire was to let others know that Christ is sovereign and that He saved her through His grace. She was known as Aunt Kay or Kay Kay to her nieces and nephews. She told them often that her happiest day would be when she could see Jesus face to face. \r\nKaren is preceded in death by her parents and mother-in-law, Opal Moore. \r\nShe is survived by her treasured devoted husband of 47 years, Jack Moore; her sister, Ann Hall, and her father in law, Donald Moore, all of Hillcreek; her nephews, Jason Hall (Jessica) of Hot Springs, and David Hall (Allison) of Overcup; her niece and loving caretaker, Karen LeAnn Wilds and husband Jason of Hillcreek, and her very much loved great nephews and nieces, Jacob, Annie, Weston, Rebecca, Samuel, Nora, Lila, and Ella Kate.\r\n\r\nIn Lieu of flowers memorials may be sent to Wilder Cemetery Fund, 1100 Hwy 92 Plumerville, AR 72127.\r\n\r\nVisitation will be held from 6:00P.M. til 8:00P.M., Friday, July 1, 2022 at the former Bob Neal and Sons Funeral home now known as Union Missionary Baptist Church #5 Bruce St Morrilton, AR 72110.\r\n\r\nServices will be 10:00A.M. At Portland Missionary Baptist Church in Plumerville, AR with Bro.
