Shirl Anderson Obituary (1938 - 2022)

Shirl "Duke" Dean Anderson 83, of Adona, AR, entered his heavenly home on October 04, 2022. Duke was born in Ada Valley, AR, to William and Stellar Lucas Anderson on October 24, 1938. He was a foreman for the Perry County Road Department where he operated heavy equipment for 20 years. He was a member of the Corinth Landmark Missionary Baptist Church in Adona. Duke enjoyed his family and woodworking with his wife, Vickie. His memory will be cherished by his loving wife; Vickie West Anderson, son; Donald (Veronica) Anderson of Adona, daughter; Sandra Lawhon of Oppelo, brothers; James Anderson and William Earl Anderson both of Adona. Sister-in-law's; Portia (Jerry) Robinson of Wyoming and Sheila (Robert) Edwards of Adona, brother-in-law's; Stanley (Theresa) West, Butch West, And Jeff (Anita) West all of Adona, Arkansas. He has 4 grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews. Duke was preceded in death by his parents; William and Stellar Anderson, brothers; Ulion Anderson, Charles Anderson, and Floyd Anderson and his sister; Monteen Edwards. Service will be held at the Corinth Landmark Missionary Baptist Church in Adona, Arkansas on October 6, 2022. Visitation will be at 1:00 P.M. followed by service at 2:00 P.M.
